At the end, you will enjoy a specialties tasting: mozzarella, caciocavallo, provolone del Monaco and caciotta with tomatoes salad and bread (red wine and water included).

Then, you will proceed to for the Amalfi Coast. The lush green terraces, suspended over a sparkling sea, the wealth of art and the architectural characteristics, make it one of the most celebrated places on earth. Wild, daring and romantic, the Coast is an obligatory stop in any journey to Italy. Set into the mountain, surrounded by rich Mediterranean vegetation, Positano is so picturesque as to seem like a spontaneous stage setting. The town develops vertically. The homes, one on top of the other, are characterized by arched porticos that give onto the sea and are painted in pastel colors, giving in the look of a multifaceted precious stone.

Back to Sorrento and evening on your own.

After lunch, time at leisure and in the afternoon, shopping time with a personal shopper.

There is a very special feeling in the cloister of the villa, still showing elements of the ancient Arab Sicilian style it was built in.

Then you will drive to a flagship winery on the hills just behind Ravello and you will discover another side of the Amalfi Coast : the green heart of the Amalfi coast with centuries old vineyards and lovely villages where time seems to have stopped. You will taste the award winning wines (Falanghina, Aglianico) together with the farmhouse cheese and salami, pasta and other local dishes, and you will experience a true “ lunch with the farmers“ and we will be immersed in the farm atmosphere.

Thank you for your thoughtfulness in sending us photos from our wonderful visit to the Villa. As you can tell from meeting me and the pictures that highlight my tummy, I enjoy great food and a glass or two of wonderful wine. You and your family team are to be congratulated. It was the highlight of our trip to have the opportunity to share with you your wonderful home and learn so much about Italian cooking. “Putting breadcrumbs on the bottom of the pan so the pasta doesn’t stick,” was a new one for me. Your menu selection was excellent and the food was outstandingly delicious even if I say so myself as one of the cooks – smile. I absolutely cannot understand how you all stay so slim.

You may not understand, but even with all of the great food and wine the highlight of the experience was being able to meet all of the Villa family members. You are true hospitality people and your enthusiasm is absolutely contagious. May I wish you much success with your cooking school endeavour and if you develop a brochure, please be sure to send a few my way. God bless

I wanted to personally thank you for the wonderful experience of sharing your family's home with us today and teaching us how to prepare such a lovely Italian dinner. You, your sister and your cousin are lovely, warm and charming women and you make the experience very special. My thanks to each of you and I wish all of you the very best with your new cooking school. I know you will be very successful.

I hope to return to visit soon, and I hope if you or your family visit San Francisco you will call me. I would love to show you around San Francisco, take you sailing on the Bay, take you hiking on the mountains along the Pacific Ocean and take you wine tasting in the in Sonoma and Napa California - I think you would love it!

Have a wonderful spring and summer season. Grazie mille and warmest regards.

“This was the experience of a lifetime.  It was more than a culinary excursion, it was an unforgettable life experience from learning new cuisine to finding serenity in olive country.  I was introduced to a wonderful world of Spanish cuisine and the down-to-earth lifestyle that defines Andalusia.  I cannot wait to go back!” - Opal H., Northport, Alabama
