You will also have the opportunity to see the much desired island of Capri as well as experience the wonders of Pompeii where you will be amazed at the ruins but will also get an education of how the people of this ancient city once lived, as well as how they perished. And you will enjoy two hands on cooking lessons with a great chef in Positano.

Costeria Amalfitana Villages and Wine Farm Visit
Pick up from your hotel. Today you will enjoy an excursion by private minivan and English speaking driver to the enchanting Costiera villages : you will visit Amalfi, Ravello and your driver-guide will lead you to the small village of Scala to discover the true life of the Amalfi Coast. Scala is a secluded village located in the mountains just in front of Ravello. It’s close to Amalfi, but very unique as it seems that time has stopped here.
Following this you will discover another side of the unexpected Amalfi Coast : the green heart of the Amalfi coast with centuries old vineyards and lovely villages. You will taste the award winning wines (Falanghina, Aglianico) together with the farmhouse cheese and salami and will experience a true “lunch with the farmers" and will be immersed in the true farm atmosphere.
Transfer back to Positano. Dinner on your own this evening at one of the many excellent restaurants in the area.
Cooking Lesson in Positano - Food Experience at a Farmhouse
Enjoy your first cooking lesson in the morning, followed by lunch. The lesson will take place in the kitchen of one the best restaurants in Positano and you will learn how to prepare pizza dough with your hands, using your creativity to fill it up - you will learn how to bake it and then you will taste your masterpieces.
In the afternoon pick up from the hotel and private transfer by minivan where you visit a farmhouse in the hills around Sorrento, surrounded by luxuriant vegetation including olive trees, citrus trees and vineyards as well as farm animals. From the farmhouse the view is breathtaking as you can enjoy both the Naples and Sorrento Gulfs. There you will find a large range of typical products starting with wine, extra virgin olive oil, then various tasty marmalades and of course the world renowned Limoncello followed by the classic herbs liquors, appetizing seasoned products (cheeses, salami etc). You will start your visit with a guided tour of the Mediterranean vegetation around the farmhouse and of the kitchen gardens, led by one of the farmhouse owners who will teach you about the uses and the benefits of the plants, herbs and vegetables that we encounter. Then you will have a tasting of typical products (bruschette, different kinds of home made bread dipped in olive oil, pizza slices) and a mozzarella (Treccia) demonstration and tasting.
Transfer back to Positano. Dinner on your own this evening.
Today is a day for time at leisure for a visit of Capri island (weather permitting). You can choose from many options : public hydrofoil tickets to Marina Grande (the Capri Port), private boat transfer or private tour of Capri island, or enjoy a full day guided excursion to Capri (see below for pricing for this option).

Cooking Lesson in Positano - Pompeii
This morning you will have your second cooking lesson with the chef of one the best restaurants in Positano. A short walk from the hotel and you will reach the restaurant, in the heart of Positano, close to the famous "Scalinatella". You will meet the chef and then prepare some typical appetizers such as fiori di zucchine ripieni, involtini di pesce spada. An amazing lunch will follow.
In the afternoon pick up from the hotel for a private excursion by minivan to Pompeii, meeting with your guide there followed by a guided walking tour.
Transfer back to Positano. Dinner on your own this evening.
Check out and private transfer to Naples Airport/Train Station.
OPTION FOR DAY FOUR: PRIVATE GUIDED EXCURSION TO CAPRI
Meeting with the guide at your hotel for a full day guided visit of Capri island. We will take the public hydrofoil from Positano and we will reach Marina Grande in Capri. Here we will have the excursion by small boat to the Blue Grotto, back to Marina Grande and visit by private car or minibus of Capri villages (Capri and Anacapri), Villa San Michele and Augustus Gardens. At 5:15 pm you will take the hydrofoil back to Positano.
NON RESIDENTIAL DAY COOKING CLASS
Cooking lessons will take place at one of the best restaurants in Positano, where you will learn the best recipes of the Amalfi Coast, based on fresh vegetables, typical pasta and of course fresh fish. Lessons are available from Monday to Friday, from April to October, for a minimum of 2 participants.
Lessons are private and totally hands on. They will take place in the morning and are held by the English speaking chef of the restaurant. You will meet the chef at 9:30 am and the lesson lasts about 2 hours and 30 minutes. Then you will taste the recipes you have prepared.
Your lesson will be focused on starters (“focaccia“, courgette flowers stuffed with ricotta cheese or meat, aubergine parmesan, swordfish rolls, one first dish (ravioli or hand made pasta) and a fish recipe (fresh local fish “all’acqua pazza”). Or if you prefer, you can learn pizza instead, where you will prepare pizza dough and then use your creativity to top the pizza. You will learn how to bake it and then taste your masterpiece!
A minimum of 2 participants is required to run this tour and the tour is limited to a maximum of 12 participants.
