Immerse yourself into Italian living by visiting this little fishing village situated in an enchanting location among the beautiful inlets of the breathtaking Amalfi Coast. Nicely located just a couple of miles from Positano and about 6 miles from Amalfi, your home for this cooking holiday is a prestigious seaside resort with a beautiful rooftop pool. Learn traditional regional cuisine along with a few modern twists from your talented and passionate instructors.

 

During your stay, you will learn about the local cuisine from the hotel chefs, each with his own specialty and personality. You will feel like you are right at home and will take away with you the secrets of preparing typical dishes such as pasta, sauces, seafood delicacies and of course pizza and dolci (dessert!).

 

What better place is there to learn a few dishes than this beautiful area of Italy?

 

 

THREE NIGHT ITINERARY

 

DAY ONE

 

Welcome to Italy!

 

You will be picked up at Naples Airport or Naples train station and arrive at the hotel for a welcome drink.

 

Relax in your new surroundings and take in the beautiful scenery of this magnificent region!

 

Dinner on your own this evening.

 

DAY TWO

 

Enjoy a fabulous buffet breakfast before your exciting day begins.

 

After breakfast you will embark from “La Praja”, the beach, (during the summer months only), and enjoy a boat excursion of the coast visiting the Emerald Grotto (weather permitting); then a stop to visit Positano. You will have plenty of time to explore and shop in the lovely shops in this village. 

 

In the afternoon around 3:30pm you will have your first two hour cooking lesson learning how to make hand made pasta. The chefs will also show you how to make a variety of sauces. Classes are a combination of demonstration and hands on and in each class you will enjoy what you have prepared. Since classes are in the late afternoon, you will have time to go out afterwards or relax at the hotel.

 

DAY THREE

 

Buffet breakfast followed by a transfer by car to the town of Amalfi. You will visit the charming Paper Mill Museum where you can see how the people of Amalfi perfected the art of making paper since the 10th century.

 

Free time to visit the rest of the town and the other monuments: S. Andrew’s Duomo, the Paradise Cloister and the Arsenals.

 

In the late morning return by car to the hotel and in the afternoon enjoy your second cooking lesson : Dolci (desserts)!!!

 

DAY FOUR

 

Enjoy another delicious buffet breakfast, check out and transfer from the hotel to Naples airport or Naples train station.

 

 

 

FIVE NIGHT ITINERARY

 

DAY ONE

 

You will be picked up at Naples airport or Naples train station.

 

Arrive at the hotel for a welcome drink, time to relax and get acquainted with your new surroundings.

 

Dinner on your own this evening.

 

 

 

DAY TWO

 

Buffet breakfast. During the summer months, you will embark from the beach and take a boat excursion of the coast. You will visit the Emerald Grotto (weather permitting) and then stop in Positano. Free time for exploring and shopping in many of the fine shops in this beautiful village.

 

In the afternoon, you will have your first cooking lesson, learning how to make handmade pasta. The chefs will guide you through the process and show you how to make a variety of sauces.

 

DAY THREE

 

Buffet breakfast.

 

Transfer by car to amazing Pompeii. The half day is at your disposal to visit the archaeological area. In 79 AD, Mt Vesuvius erupted volcanic ashes over the village of Pompeii. The entire town and around 20,000 of its inhabitants were buried under tons of ash and pumice. 2,000 years later, you have the chance to visit these ruins. It's a remarkable experience and one you will never forget.

 

In the afternoon you will meet with the chefs for a second cooking lesson: the famous Neapolitan Pizza and local fish.

 

DAY FOUR

 

Buffet breakfast and transfer and visit of Amalfi and its monuments: S. Andrew’s Duomo, the Paradise Cloister, the Arsenal and the Paper Mill Museum.  

 

 In the afternoon you will meet with the chefs for the third cooking lesson dedicated to making desserts.

 

Graduation ceremony with the chefs. 

 

 

DAY FIVE

 

Buffet breakfast.

 

Daily boat excursion to Capri. You cruise around the island discovering its many beautiful aspects including the Green Grotto and if you wish to visit the Blue Grotto (entrance charged extra). The boat lands at Marina Piccola where you can have free time to visit the island by yourselves, before returning to the hotel in the late afternoon.  

 

Dinner on your own this evening.

 

 

 

 

DAY SIX

 

Buffet breakfast.

 

Check out and transfer from the hotel to Naples airport or Naples station. Arrivederci!

NON RESIDENTIAL DAY COOKING CLASS

 

Do you already have a place to stay on the Amalfi Coast but would like to learn the secrets of Italian cooking? Take a two hour cooking class between 3:30pm-5:30pm with the hotel chef and enjoy the meal you have prepared afterwards with a wine tasting. We even have a small gift for you for visiting! The pasta class might include a typical menu Scialatielli (hand made pasta) with cherry tomatoes sauce and vegetable sauce.
